Angel Food Cake Mix

half-litre
home-canned apple slices
(Ideally unsweetened. Or fruit of your choice. Pint jar.)

Instructions
Start oven heating to 190 C / 375 F.
Grease a cake pan; set aside.
Empty cake mix into mixing bowl.
Open the half-litre / pint jar of fruit but DO NOT drain it.
Top the jar up with water to within 1 cm / ½ inch of jar rim.
Now, add the contents of the jar, liquid and all, to the bowl with the cake mix.
Stir with mixing spoon just until all the dry cake mix is blended in. Do not use beaters!
Transfer mixture to prepared cake pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 190 C / 375 F until toothpick in centre comes out clean.
